A simple table design specifically created as a chess gaming table with a recessed engraved slate board and drawers at
either end to accommodate game pieces.
The solid oak construction of the frame is built to be unsupported at the base of the legs to allow all round
access if necessary. The majority of the structure is hidden under the table top where a carcase houses the hidden drawers
and locates the through-and-through legs which are secured by rails and fixed to the top. The piece is very light and can
be moved around a room by an individual if space or location is a consideration.
With a typical oil and wax finish this table will sit smartly in any stylish traditional or contemporary interior.
